AGM - POSTPONED
The health and wellbeing of our Members and Committee is of primary importance. With this in mind, as a result of the recent imposition of local lockdowns in Wales and other areas of the UK, which would prevent the Chairman, Secretary and some Members attending, and the likely imposition of further lockdown regulations in other parts of the UK, we have regretfully had to take the decision to postpone our AGM which was scheduled for Sunday 27th September at 12.30 p.m. at the Stonehouse Community Centre, Stonehouse, Glos.
We should like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and we will make every effort to rearrange the AGM at some point in the future when the level of restrictions connected with the COVID 19 pandemic allow.
Shih Tzu Club of South Wales & Western Counties Championship Show & Open Show 8th November 2020 - Cancelled
As a result of the current position with COVID 19 and, the Kennel Club’s recent directive advising that Shows up to the end of September be cancelled and that societies give serious consideration to Shows taking place for the remainder of the year after that date, the Committee have regretfully taken the decision to cancel both our rearranged Championship Show and Open Show that are scheduled for the 8th November 2020.
Having already cancelled the March Championship Show, we feel that we cannot afford to take the risk of incurring further financial losses, should we have to cancel again nearer the show date, if regulations would still not allow them to proceed.
In addition, if shows were allowed to proceed by then, COVID-19 is still likely to be prevalent and the Committee feels that the risks of holding an indoor show in a confined space, where social distancing would be difficult is currently too great a risk to the health of the exhibitors to take.
As a result of this, we will now look to schedule two Championship shows and an Open Show next year and will inform you of the new dates as soon as possible.
We should like to stress that this decision has not been taken lightly and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We look forward to welcoming you all to our rescheduled shows next year
