Firstly I would like to thank the South Wales & Western Counties Shih Tzu Club for inviting me to judge their Championship Show recently, and for their terrific hospitality and marvelous Stewards, Michael Hitt and Shaun Matthews. I would also like to convey my thanks to every exhibitor for the fabulous entry and the amazing way in which everyone and their dogs coped, on what was one of hottest days of the year.
Veteran Dog 3 Entries
1.Gilke’s Ch.Hashanah Lock Stock N Barrel. Showing his masculinity, in superb body and coat, I admire his broad head, reach of neck, level topline and overall balance, an easy winner.
2.Garry’s Rygar Time and Thyme Again.J.W. Well balanced solid gold.black mask. Head well rounded, dark warm expression, good spring of rib, good topline and tailset.
3.Shaw’s Harropine Mango Jack of Shorestar.
Minor Puppy Dog 7 Entries (2 Absent)
1.Willett’s Debeaux Ready Freddy Go. Imposing gold/white male, strong head, dark eyes well set. Good reach of neck, balanced construction, already well muscled.
2.Gray’s Ragabbey Domino. Smart black/white male, nicely rounded head and good dentition shoulders well laid back, good bend of stifle, just preferred balance of one.
3.Shaw’s Polmac Ice Road Trucker of Shorestar.
Puppy Dog 5 Entries (1 Absent)
1.Willett’s Saffron Sherhy I Walk N Talk at Debeaux. Mature dog puppy, particularly liked his warm open expression. Good width of skull, ears set low chest well let down, good forward reach and drive from hindquarters, moved with ease. All this added to his zest for life, won him Best Puppy in Show.
2.Rutter’s Ethelsmead Life of Riley. Charming black/white male in excellent coat. Good head dark eyes, amble reach of neck, good spring of rib, well balanced throughout.
3.Sherlock’s Santosha Shogun.

1.Willett’s Debeaux Coopersrain Mr Marvellous. Stunning black/white male well named. Easily heading for top honours. Handsome youngster well rounded skull, charming expression, excellent dentition, good front, well laid back shoulders and bend of stifle, in good body, tail carriage setting of his balance. Lovely to watch on the move, maturity will make him hard to beat. RCC
2.Maule’s Daltricia Meren Cambyses. Gold/White male with strong head, good reach of neck and well sprung ribcage. Very sound, well muscled throughout, held an excellent level topline on the move.
3.Moore’s Shionah Apollo with Jaxtzu.

1.Wollerton Miracey Regal Rider at Shihdances. Gold/white male with lovely warm expression, dark pigmentation, skull well rounded, ears set low, good dentition, well angled front and rear, carrying good body, tail well set.
2.Goodwin’s Chelhama Tuxedo. Very smart black/white male, good head and expression, shoulders well laid back, good spring of rib, well balanced with tea pot handle tail.
3.Chadwick’s Tsantha Happy as Larry with Hajenza.

1.Beer & Tilley’s Bellwaycharm Time Zone For Tilbe J.W. Such an honest dog, he has it all. Mature male in excellent coat, lovely rounded head and skull, dark eyes set well apart, super pigment, well cushioned muzzle, charming warm expression, deep chest, good width throughout. Excellent balance and so sound on the move, all of which secured his CC and BOB.
2.Morriss’s Tsantha Walkn on Sunshine over Sazkey. Gold/white male with pleasing expression, good reach of neck, shoulders well laid back, level topline, good overall picture, showed well.

1.McIntyre’s Shanitau’s Mane Attraction. Handsome gold/white male with strong head and dark eyes. Chest well let down with good spring of rib, well angled throughout, admired his balance.
2.Bown’s Symaraju Trigger a Tornado at Bishbow. Attractive male in excellent order, particularly good head and skull, muzzle well cushioned. Well angled front and rear, moved well with strong topline.
3.Willet’s Debeaux Loves Divine

1.Goodwin’s Chelhama Leading Light. Very pretty gold/white female, sweet expression, good reach of neck and spring of rib, in lovely condition.
2.Coupland’s Jimfoam Roblee Princess Cleo. Solid gold pretty female, charming dark eyes and good pigmentation, well proportioned throughout.
Minor Puppy Bitch 6 Entries (2 Absent)
1.Casentieri’s Popeye’s Crème de La Crème. This one really caught my eye. Beautifully put together, so well balanced, good rounded head, eyes full of expression, good front and rear construction, well bodied up, excellent tail carriage. Moved with ease in her class, great pity the heat was too much for her later. One to watch for the future.
2.William’s Diamond Diva. Very pretty solid gold/black mask. Charming expression, full of character, good front with deep chest and spring of rib, good bend of stifle, showed well.
3.McCarrick’s Polmac Balthasar’s Gift.

1.Yorke Minfaa Gypsy Queen at Middletune. Gold brindle/white, nicely balanced, pretty female with good reach of neck and shoulder placement, level topline and strong hindquarters. Moved really well.
2.Ritchie Laumerand Trick or Treat. Solid black with pleasing expression in lovely coat, well constructed fore and aft, with good spring of rib, moved well.

1.Billson’s Shanjora Kiss en Tell. Delightful brindle/white female, good head, excellent dentition, liked her sweet expression, good front assembly and strong hocks, overall good picture.
2.Barker & Naull’s Lord Div’s She’s My Dream By Lynele. Solid gold/black mask. Stylish female with good outline. Head well rounded with dark eyes well set apart, well proportioned throughout, good spring of rib, lovely tail set, went well.

1.Anderson’s Pekoe Star Attraction. Delightful strong gold/white honest female. Very well constructed with good head and appealing eyes. Good reach of neck into correct front assembly, well bodied up, strong drive from behind, moved with ease.
2. Herring’s Weatsom Strike a Cord for Quingshui. Well balanced pretty female with warm expression. Well angulated front and rear, holding strong topline on the move, showed well.
3.William’s Paliden Star Princess.

1.Russell and Evan’s Rosaril Snogs and Snuggles at Matsuba. Superbly constructed female. Lovely round skull with dark eyes and an expression with the power to make you melt. Muzzle well cushioned, excellent dentition, shoulders well laid back, deep ribcage, powerful hindquarters, which she used to her advantage, lovely outline, she sailed around the ring. Only lost out later, by the extreme heat of the day. CC
2.Cheshire Superlion Chronle. Most attractive gold/white female. Pretty expression, all put together with good front, spring of rib, strong hocks, tail well set, moved very well.
3.Dean Chodeas Eastern Star.

2.Beer & Tilley’s Ch.Bellwaycharm High Flyer for Tilbe. JW.ShCM Very honest female good head and dentition, well angulated fore and aft, excellent spring of rib, tail well set, moved with good reach.
